Check out the most up-to-date process of CDS Selection, which is detailed below to assist you in setting goals. Knowing the process in depth will enable you to assess the level of competition and prepare for the desired outcomes.

UPSC and the Defence conducts the CDS selection process, twice in a year. The written exam is conducted by the UPSC while the interview or SSB is conducted by the Defence. The written exam and the interview are the two main stages of the CDS selection process.

    CDS Selection Procedure

The CDS Process of selection must be understood by all applicants taking the CDSE. The UPSC administers the CDS examination in order to choose outstanding and skilled individuals for officer positions in the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy.

The CDS Selection Process consists of two parts: a written exam and the SSB interview. Each stage of the CDS exam is critical. Candidates must pass three papers to qualify for the written round. Those who pass the written examination will then be called to the interview of SSB.

The concerned selection committee evaluates the candidates’ personalities, IQ, & psychological aptitude during the interview process. Candidates must pass both stages of   selection process in order to be considered for their selection into Army, Navy and Air Force.

Candidates who advance to the final phase will be offered training opportunities at the INA Ezhimala, OTA Chennai, IMA Dehradun and AFA Hyderabad.

Selection Process of CDS Stage 1:Written Examination

The CDS exam, according to the CDS Syllabus and Exam Pattern, consists of three papers: Elementary Mathematics, English and GK. To be admitted to the Military, Naval, and Air Force Academies, applicants must pass all three exams.

Applicants who successfully complete the exam’s application form will be eligible to take the written exam. If a candidate wishes to enrol for the Officers’ Training Academy, he or she must take only 2 papers: English & General Knowledge.

The CDS exam features objective-type MCQs, as per the most recent CDS paper exam pattern. Each candidate will have 2 hours to complete each paper. To conclude the CDS Selection Process, the concerned selection committee would conduct the SSB interview.

But keep in mind that only the applicants who pass stage 1 will be invited to the interview.

CDS  Process of Selection Stage 2: SSB Interview

Following stage 1, you must attend the SSB Interview, which will last 5 days and will assess the candidates’ IQ, personality, and a variety of other characteristics. There are two stages to these tests as well.
